"I have lived in Bancroft for most of my life. As a result, I am very passionate about facilitating the advancement of fitness within individuals throughout my community.

I bought the former Curves and my goal there was to provide a positive, encouraging, and motivating environment for my clients. I soon realized that while I loved working with my Curves clients and providing circuit training instruction, I wanted their experience to include so much more!

After one meeting with John and Graham I knew we were on to something! Soon thereafter, a partnership was born. I am so thrilled to be part of this enthusiastic team and I believe that we have much to offer. This is my passion in life and not a day goes by that I don’t believe that I am exactly where I am supposed to be. My dream for LiveFit is to help as many people as possible gain what I have gained ; a love for a fit, healthy lifestyle, a positive self image and to empower them to be their very best! After all, “There are no limits except the ones you set yourself!”

While my love for fitness did not come naturally, it is now such an integral part of my life that I could never sum up all that it means to me in just one paragraph. Fitness has completely transformed my entire life, body, mind, attitude and personality. My own transformation is a journey that I have been on for the past 8 years. It took everything I had to take that first step towards a healthy, active lifestyle but every single day I am so grateful that I did. It’s not just about the weight or inches that I have lost (80 lbs, 65 inches) but, more importantly, about the person that I have become. Don’t make the changes for anybody but YOU. You will never regret it!"

"I was born and raised in L'Amable, Ontario. As the son of a nurse and a fire chief, a desire to be of service was in my DNA. Finding an outlet for that passion and purpose took time and led me in many different directions.

Working with special needs individuals developed my compassion for others. I then decided to try my hand at the family business. Trapping and selling baitfish wholesale for three generations. I enjoyed the very physical and mentally challenging aspects of the job but it started to take a toll on my body. Newly married and a baby on the way, I decided that I needed to make some serious changes. I couldn't keep up the weekend warrior lifestyle. And the cigarettes had to go! I walked into the gym and I never looked back! I found that many of the components that I learned in the gym transferred to all parts of my life. As a result, commitment, hard work, determination and the principle of building a balanced, well maintained structure, all became driving forces in each facet of my life. Do I always get it right? Hell no! But can I always fall back to these basic principles? Hell yeah!!

This journey has included the acquisition of my CrossFit Trainer Level 1 and Crossfit Kids Trainer Certifications. As well as my current focus of becoming a Movement Specialist under the tutelage of Julien Pineau at “Strongfit”.

I have definitely discovered where to apply my passion for helping others and have discovered a sense of purpose in it as well. My goal is to help people along their fitness journey! I want to provide them with a service that meets them where they are and takes them where they need to go. All while providing a space where a community of people can come together and encourage each other to succeed!"

Graham Cameron

"I was born in London, Ontario and after receiving a B.Sc. in Biology from Trent University, secured a job with the MNR in Bancroft as a biologist. I have now lived in Bancroft for the last 12 years. I enjoy hunting and fishing, mountain biking and all outdoor sports. As a Troop Leader with Scouts Canada, I also help local youth learn about wilderness survival and ecology.

I started working out by running at lunch, then did some bodybuilding and I eventually discovered Crossfit. I was immediately hooked! I started to learn as much as I could and now I am stronger and faster than ever before! My advice is to start with the classes at the beginning of your fitness journey, and when you look back you will be glad you did rather than thinking "I just wish I had started Crossfit at the beginning!"

Helping people and our community are important to me - I love to see people make amazing transformations and realize their goals!"

"My health and fitness journey began while I was in high school, I tried various sports but never found one that suited me well which lead me to start running after school. Running quickly became an obsession of mine, running 5K often 6-7 days of the week. There was no better feeling than finishing a long run. During the summer I chose jobs that were physically demanding and constantly challenged my strength. September after I finished high school my mom encouraged me to begin doing CrossFit with her, after one week I was hooked.

Almost a year and a half I started doing CrossFit I decided I wanted to pursue an education in the field of health and fitness. In June of 2018, I graduated Fitness and Health Promotion at Fleming College. During my time at Fleming I was given several opportunities to further my education with various certifications and courses. These courses included NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills and a Level One TriggerPoint trainer course. As well as, certification as a CFES Weight Training Instructor and also an OFC Platinum Member for both Resistance Training and Group Fitness Trainer.

In June of 2018, I was given the opportunity to join the LiveFit team. Every day I am surrounded by other people who share my passion for fitness and living a healthy and active lifestyle. I love coming to work every day because of the positive and encouraging environment. I love being able to help guide people on their journeys to achieving and maintaining healthy and active lives"

My passion for fitness and nutrition began when I was in high school, where I first started joining sports teams and taking classes such as exercise science. I furthered my education at Sir Sandford Fleming College where I graduated with my Fitness and Health promotion diploma and also ran competitively. Upon completing my Personal Training Certification, I worked as a personal trainer for 2 years in Peterborough before moving to Bancroft and joining the Curves team for two years and now, LiveFit!

Exercise is an important part of my life, whether it's interior camping with my husband or doing a 50k trail race. It is an amazing feeling to reach your goals, and I want to help others do the same!

 I started weight training in high school with the goals of gaining muscle and strength. Quite honestly, like everyone, I also wanted to look better too.  During the first several months of training, under the guidance of my teacher, I wasn’t getting the gains I was expecting. I thought to myself why am I not progressing after all this effort?

 I decided to do research and educate myself about weight training. What I discovered is that I was doing it wrong! Once I started training correctly I instantly started progressing and became addicted to training!

 I have a passion for training and for helping people meet their fitness goals. It’s personally very rewarding to witness someone become stronger and feel better about themselves. I have helped many people over the years get on the right track to obtain their fitness goals and would love to help you achieve yours!

 Other than training I am someone who loves hunting and outdoor activities. I also love music and have been a audiophile for many years. I’m also passionate about food and love to cook!
